Product To Return : MCL2005 MMax Pico 100A ESC
Problem With Product : This is the 2nd PICO that I have had this problem with. On the very first run after installing it in my TC Buggy, paired with a MMR TE V2 21.5 motor, when the buggy takes an impact, even a slight bump on the side, the throttle becomes inoperative. The steering continues to work. When this happens, it will either begin working again after 15 to 20 seconds, or it will not work at all, when this happens LED 1 is solid red and led 2 blinks blue. I put in an old ESC and Motor and everything works fine so that has eliminated the problem down to either the ESC or motor. The motor was the only component I did not changes with the previous PICO I had in the buggy. That ESC was sent back and I received notice the logic board had been changed. I am submitting a separate RMA to return the motor as well for repair/replacement.

Inspection: 4/9/2018

  • This ESC was associated with RMA916 (MRR Team Edition V2 21.5 motor).
  • We performed full test on this ESC and no problem was found.
  • We believe the problem was caused by the overflowed solder on the motor tabs. (the overflowed solder was removed, the sensor unit was also replaced, motor was fully tested to ensure no problem exists)
  • Please test again with that motor and let us know.
