Product To Return : MCL2009 DRK160 ESC
Problem With Product : No power to motor, if I move the motor some it will come to life for. Few trigger pulls. Then die again. I did several remote relearns. To no avail, I do have reverse power. I swapped sensor wire, then swapped motor still same issue. 2 race days prior to this I saw a spark by the cap pack. Ali disconnected the battery and cut out the pack. I replaced it with another Maclan pack and then tested successfully 2 more days, I use 5mm bullets. I don’t know if I caused this or not. Either way I need it fixed. If it’s under warranty great. If not I understand. This is for my daughters no prep car.
Thank you

8/15/2021 Inspection – ESC is out of warranty by date. MOSFET board shows damage.  See pictures. Possible causes are:

  • Improper power input (reverse polarity)
  • Excessive amp draw (extreme burnout, incorrect gearing, too many runs in a row)

The cost to repair the ESC will be $120 plus $8 shipping, for a total of $128. Please reply directly to this email if you wish to move forward with repairs and we will send you an invoice. Also, please include the car you are running, motor, can timing and gearing and we can offer suggestions to help prevent this from happening again.
