User Note

7/1/2021 Check In

7/1/2021 Inspection – Fan was installed upside down and is damaged. Installing the fan upside down causes the blades to contact the heatsink and burns out the fan.

MOSFET board is damaged. See pictures. This type of damage is not a manufacturers defect and could be caused by numerous things:

  • Improper power input (reverse polarity)
  • Excessive amp draw (extreme burnout, improper gearing, too many runs in a row)
  • Motor out of sync (bridged terminals, sensor gap)

Since the ESC is so new, I will offer a one time courtesy discount to repair the ESC. Normally the cost to repair is $120 plus $8 shipping, but with the discount I am offering, the repairs will be $60 plus $8 shipping, plus the cost of a new fan if you want one, making the total $80.99.

Please reply with what motor you are running, can timing, gearing and what car you are running and we can offer set up suggestions to help prevent this from happening again. Reply directly to this email to move forward with repairs. Thank you

7/05/2021 Repaired ESC with new MOSFET board, Control board, and Capacitor, then tested. Please see testing video. Make sure to install the new fan in the proper direction or it will burn out the fan again. Thank you!
