6/25/2021 Inspection and communication

  • The ESC has a data log showing it was properly working before it was damaged.

  • we have some questions that need the customer’s verifications.
    1. What motor did you pair with this DRK ESC when it’s damaged?
    2. What is the gearing?
    3. What was the actual action when it’s damaged? was it during a burnout?

Please help us to verify the above questions by replying the RMA report email. Thank you

6/28/2021 Service
  • The data log history shows the ESC was running properly until it was damaged. It was not a manufacture defect.
  • The ESC was completely damaged (control board + MOSFET board) due to one one the following reasons.
    • Out of sync motor sensor signals
    • Excessive current draw by motor
  • Below photos show the damaged MOSFET board.

  • This is not a manufacture defect. It was a damage caused by the motor. Since this unit was fairly new, we would provide this ONE TIME ONLY courtesy service to rebuild the ESC with all new internals. We’d also strongly suggest not to use the same motor as it can cause the same damage easily.

  • Rebuilt the ESC with brand new control board, MOSFET board, capacitor module, and thermal pad.
  • Tested and verified the rebuilt ESC. Please review RMA#2198 testing video.
