User Note

Check-in: 1/20/2021

1/21/2021 Inspection

  • Verified that motor needs a push start.
  • MOSFET board damaged
  • Control board damaged
  • Capacitor pack damaged.

Possible causes are:

  • Improper power input(reverse polarity)
  • Motor out of sync(Bridged or incorrect motor wiring, or sensor gap)

Are you able to send us the motor so that we can check it to make sure it isn’t faulty? If it is faulty, it would cause the same problem after repairing the ESC.

1/30/2021 – Additional notes.

to me
Collin, I bought this ESC as a combo with 13.5t motor, of the same brand, like I stated before I used a different 13.5t motor and it did the same thing, so how is it that a have to pay for a faulty part twice? I paid over 200 for the combo the ESC never worked and now you want me to pay to have it fixed plus shipping again? I have been in the rc hobby for year’s and faulty parts are more common then one would think, I must say this is a horrible way to do business, it’s one thing if I got to use it for awhile but it never left my bench, the RC community that I race with is going to love to hear this one, So has of this point I will contact Amain hobbies on this experience and go from their,
Update note from customer service
1/31/2021 – Upon further inspection, it appears that screws that are too long were used to attach a fan to the esc. The screws have contacted the circuit board and shorted it out. See attached picture.
Please make sure that when attaching fan on esc, that the screws are the proper length as to not damage the esc again.
We have agreed to repair the esc at our cost this one time.
