User Note

6/26/2020 Check in

2/29/2020 Inspection

  • Motor was installed with cold soldering, and excessive overflowing solder paste. Please see the photos.

  • ESC has positive and negative power wires removed, the negative solder cup was also removed. It has a third party capacitor module installed with poor soldering.
  • ESC has damaged MOSFET board. Please see below photos:

  • We manage to clean up the overflowed solder on the motor, test and verify with a motor analyzer. The motor is fine.
  • The ESC has permanent damaged. The cost to rebuild the ESC is $100 plus return shipping.
  • We’d suggest not to install the third part capacitor module as it does not help on the performance. The excessive heat from soldering iron can cause damage on the ESC, and not covered by the warranty.
  • Please let us know if you wish to proceed the repair service. Thank you

Note:

  • Customer requests to install the third party Yeah Racing capacitor bank onto the ESC.
  • We do not encourage using the third party capacitor bank because it does not provide performance gain, and it can affect the service warranty.
  • We installed the third party capacitor bank per customer’s request.
