Product To Return : Maclan Racing – MCL2003 MMax Pro 160A ESC
Problem With Product : I have perhaps encounter an issue with the Maclan MMAX Pro 160A ESC when attempting to use the Prolink program box. At first, when I hooked up the Prolink using the Rx cable in the ESC to the Prolink, I couldn’t not access the ESC settings to change to parameter 1 for practice. Therefore, I upgraded the firmware to 3.0 in order to be able to use the programmable box to change ESC settings. However, when I tried to recalibrate the transmitter to set up the brake, throttle, and neutral, the transmitter was not connecting nor giving me the lighting sequence and the tone it was suppose emit according the calibration instruction that came with ESC. I decided to change it back to the firmware that came with ESC. I also reinstall the firmware that came preinstalled in the ESC and changed the receiver but still not calibrating per instruction to no avail. Please help. Thank you.

User Note

Check in: 2019/8/26

Inspection: 8/27/2019

  • We tested the ESC as it was out of the returning box. We did not change any setting on it. The firmware in this ESC was the J1.1 version.
  • The ESC works with no problem found, we were able to calibrate radio and connect to ProLink to program.
  • Please see RMA1229 radio calibration video, and RMA1229 ProLink video.
  • We are only able to test what’s sent back to us. We confirmed the ESC has no problem. Please let us know if there’s anything that we can help to verify.

Friendly reminder: 8/28/2019

  • The ESC was sent back with all wires cut in middle length.
  • If you decide to rewire the cables, please be reminded to pay extra caution as the excessive heat could easily damage the circuit board and void warranty. We do offer rewire service at $15 for replacing all wires on the ESC. Please let us know if you need the rewire service before we send it back to you. Thanks!!
